Middle America

Omaha, middle america, getting right to the heart of matters, it’s the heart that matters most…”

Used to listen to Counting Crows quite a bit in high school. I quote this song because I am in Omaha. I came through here once before on tour. Got to play the same theater where Bright Eyes made his start. This time for leisure. A family reunion in fact. Gabes. There are 16 kids. It feels like more. I’ve been getting alot of questions about if I know the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez or Taylor Swift. Thier favorite song is ” Melody “. And I’ve been asked to put on an impromtu concert several times since I arrived 24 hours ago. I will. Making prepariations for a lake front venue. Perhaps the dock will serve as my stage. Candles and flowers will be in order. And bug spray. Not too much though we don’t want to discourage the fire flies. James is getting more than his fair share of attention and socialization. He’s still doing puppy bites which require band aids. But at the end of the day he’s sleeping in the arms of someone barely twice his size. And he’s only 7 pounds.  I’m off to water ski.
